Put the “fun” in fundraising by getting involved in the Kids For Wish Kids (KFWK) program. KFWK offers students a unique opportunity to get involved with Make-A-Wish. Students do it all- from brainstorming fundraising ideas and developing a plan of action, to seeing their idea come to life. Teachers and parents often serve as advisors, but ownership of the project belongs solely to the kids involved.
Kids and teens choose an idea for a fundraiser and then organize and manage their project from start to finish. Opportunities to raise funds through the Kids For Wish Kids program are endless! Fundraising examples include:
Dress Down Days
Pie-In-The Face Contests
In addition to helping in getting wished granted, students walk away with a better understanding of:
WISH WEEK is a week’s worth of fun events to help grant the wish of a child in your community! An individual, group of students, or small steering committee can start a Wish Week; teachers, principals and club advisers are often excellent resources. Together, your school can create an experience that will leave your entire community with memories to last a lifetime as you make wishes come true for San Diego wish kids. Learn the importance of community involvement, philanthropy, leadership skills, and how to work with others towards a common goal-all while having FUN and building school SPIRIT!
